"Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me."

"The art of art, the glory of expression, and the sunshine of the light of letters is simplicity."
- Walt Whitman

Well, it really has been going well here. We already have three investigators, and we work really hard everyday. I love how this simple black badge that bears the name of Jesucristo (who has done so much for all of us) it labels me as a minister for the restored gospel to these people.

The entire CCM of Misioneros. They took a group photo before the latinos all left for the field.

We got haircuts today, and we were talking to the lady who was doing it. She loves the feeling she gets from missionaries walking in. She gave us her phone number, and she wants to know more. She will soon be getting in contact with the misioneros in the field.

This gospel is true. Sorry for such a short email, but I promise, next week will be a big one. I love you all!
The gospel is true, the book is blue, we have a prophet too, and there is a work to do.

Lots of love and prayers for you all,

Elder Gale

"Your mission is preparation. It is the school to eternity."
- Spencer W. Kimball

Well, I made it to Chile in one piece with all my luggage, 15 other Elders, and 3 Sisters. Spanish has come along quite well. In fact, it's actually hard to type in English because I speak Spanish all day, and the keyboard I am using is a Spanish one.

I really love la CCM (the MTC). We work hard, and our district is awesome. I just wish that my compañero (companion) knew a bit more Spanish so I wouldn't have to write down questions for him to say and for him to be able to say a bit more than "Hi"... oh well, it will come in time. We already have tres investigadores (three investigators) who we are teaching. They are really actually our maestros (teachers), and it isn't too bad.

I can almost teach a full lesson in only Español. i just need to work on my verb conjugations and my vocabulary in the lessons. We sing every hymn in Spanish. Pretty much everything is in Spanish, so we are constantly around it and need to work hard on it.

We were just out on the streets of Chile around la CCM, and it was quite interesting to see all the people. They are really short, but oh well... I guess I'm just a giant among these people. Spanish is actually very easy, and we can converse with los latinos who are here with us. Some of the older misioneros (missionaries) taught them stuff in English like "this is my crib"´ or "come at me bro." I try to teach them stuff like "have a good day" or "can you help me?" Stuff like that.

Well, it's going really well here. Pretty much all of the meals are the same, but I don't mind. It tastes really good. We work hard from about 6:45 in the morning to about 10 at night, but I don't fall asleep until about 12 because I'm writing in my journal and praying... lots of prayer.

I love you all! You are all amazing. Know that we are all sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father, and that we have a lot of light to share with the people around us in our daily lives who know not where to turn for the peace that we have, the direction that guides us in our lives.

Yo se que esta iglesia es verdedera, y que Jesucristo es el redentor del mundo.
(I know this church is true, and that Jesus Christ is the Redeemer of the world.)

Love you all,
Elder Gale,
un misionario de la iglesia de Jesucristo de los santos de los últimos días.

Stay firm in the faith everyone!

"My mission belongs to the Lord. With all my heart I give my energy and my time to the Master because I love him. Therefore, I'm going to look at every day not as mins, but as His. And I will treat each minute of His time with respect and focus and the dedication that it deserves."
- Elder M. Russell Ballard

Today commences Elder Brandon Gale's 24 month journey to preach the gospel to the people of the Santiago, Chile East mission and bring more souls unto Christ. Though we will all miss him over these two years, we are very proud and excited for him! This choice was made when Brandon was a young boy, and it is through the Lord's guidance and diligent preparation that Elder Gale has embarked upon this mission

While he is away, Brandon has asked me to keep up this blog for him so that everyone can see how he is doing and know that he is well. He hopes that you all will write to him and show him your support while he is away on the Lord's time. We also ask that you keep him in your prayers so that he may be guided to those that need him and so that he will remain said while he is away. Thank you so much!
